The Crossroads Writers of Fontainebleau meet monthly to share their work in English, ask for feedback, and support each other’s efforts in writing and in life. Currently we have 13 members.
Kirby Williams
author of Rage in Paris and The Long Road from Paris
A fast-paced blend of historical fiction, crime, and farce, both books follow the story of Urby Brown, a black American jazz clarinetist who moves to Paris between the wars to escape the racial prejudice of his native country. Kirby’s work was also published in the first Crossroads Writers Club anthology, Blue Fountain and in its second anthology, Kaleidoscope. He is currently in negotiations for the publication of French editions of his novels. Kirby is retired from a diplomatic career with UNESCO. He and his wife, Liz, are longtime Crossroads members.
